High School students who have demonstrated exceptional academic ability may be permitted to enroll as UCF students while completing their high school graduation requirements. Under Florida Statutes (F.S. 1007.271) and operating in accordance with local articulation agreements, there are two types of enrollment options: Dual Enrollment and Early Admission.

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment is for students in grades 6-12 who desire to dual enroll on a part-time basis, taking one or two courses, while completing their high school coursework. Students must submit an application for admission by the published application deadline. Initial admission to UCF as a Dual Enrollment student is limited to the fall or spring semester; new Dual Enrollment students may not start in the summer term.

Dual enrollment coursework will become a permanent part of a student’s college transcript and academic record. Grades earned in dual enrollment classes will be factored into applications when applying to other colleges and universities.

Early Admission is for students who typically have completed their junior year in high school and would like to enroll at UCF as full-time students who plan to earn a bachelor’s degree at UCF. Students must submit an application for admission by the published application deadline date.

PLEASE NOTE: Early Admission students will not be considered for merit scholarships from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, either upon admission to UCF or after high school graduation.
