Tours & Open Houses
If you really want to experience UCF, visit us. Walk around the campus. Talk to students and faculty. Get a feel for what we do every day. You’ll see why Knights call UCF their second home.
Campus Visit Experience
Campus tours are offered Monday through Friday (with some exceptions) at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. departing from the Duke Energy University Welcome Center, located at 12585 Gemini Boulevard South, Orlando, FL 32816. Tours fill up quickly, so sign up early.
The Campus Visit Experience begins with a 30-minute information session, followed by a 90-minute walking tour of the campus led by a UCF Student Ambassador. An optional housing tour follows the campus tour.

Sign Up Early and Plan Ahead
Campus tours are more popular at certain times of the year, and the campus is closed during holidays and some breaks. Reservations are required for the Campus Visit Experience. Keep in mind that weather in Central Florida can be unpredictable, so plan accordingly. For your safety, and that of our Student Ambassadors, the walking portion of your visit may be canceled in the event of inclement weather. Don’t worry, though – you’ll still receive the same valuable information from our Student Ambassadors through a virtual tour and Q&A panel. For more tips about planning your visit, check out the “Campus Visit” section of our FAQs.

Plan Your Visit
The best time to experience UCF is when classes are in session. Consider visiting:
- On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays
- In January, February, May, June, or November
Avoid visiting the campus on holidays or special campus events—you’ll miss out on important features. Our holidays include:
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day (and the day after)
- Winter Break (Dec. 24 – Jan. 2)
Pets are not permitted on campus except as authorized by the university or when a disability requires the presence of a service or support animal that is both necessary and reasonable under the circumstances.
“Knight for a Day” Open Houses
“Knight for a Day” Open Houses are Saturday events designed to introduce students and parents to UCF. You’ll learn about the application process, academic programs, student life, and financial aid in a comprehensive, daylong program. Events begin with registration at 8 a.m. and conclude by 3 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Familiarize yourself with our program by browsing the “Knight for a Day” FAQs. Our next “Knight for a Day” events can be viewed using the registration link below.
Come early or stay late — tours of UCF housing are offered before and after our daily campus tours. Housing representatives offer several options for walking tours Monday through Friday. You can view at least one style of our residence hall rooms at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. This tour coincides with the end of the 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. campus tours. You also have the option of “dropping-in” to tour the Towers at Knights Plaza or the NorthView Community every Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
For meeting locations and other information about housing and housing tours, please contact UCF Housing and Residence Life at 407-823-4663 or http://www.housing.ucf.edu/tours/dailytours.
